Andy Warhol

Within what art genre did Warhol work?
pop art
Define the genre?
it is art based on modern popular culture and mass media.
During what years was he alive?
1928-1959

Daisy, c.1982
He uses red, blue, and a tint of yellow. This would be a triadic color scheme because they make a triangle on the color wheel. The artwork is very modern yet sketchy looking. It looks like something that would come out of like a weird camera or film or something.
Portrait of Maurice
He uses the colors blue and orange. This would be a complementary color scheme because blue and orange are across from each other on the color wheel. The artwork looks very real, yet it has sort of a different, rugged look to it. The colors and different shades show different parts of the dogs and make different parts stand out.
